My wife died 2nd July 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Valentine Macaulay<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Valentine would say to us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this borrowed body, I have lived a good life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

with family, with friends, with meaning, with fun, with few regrets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Grieve, but please not for long,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and remember me for the good times that we had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I would say to Valentine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, we lived a good life,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

you were the best friend, the best mother, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

the best example we could have,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and we will remember you for the good times that we had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you request,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

we will do as you say, we will grieve but not for long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will try. But I have to say,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

that in my heart there will always be,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

that special place for you and me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

dear friend, dear wife, dear Valentine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
